Uncompressed TIFF · up to 5 files
10 MiB each · 25 MiB combined
20 MP each · 40 MP combined
8192 pixels per side

Supported variants

Static images only. Renaming an extension does not change its format.

TIFF: one uncompressed classic page, 8-bit grayscale/RGB/unassociated RGBA, top-left chunky pixels. Compressed, tiled, multipage, profiles, EXIF and unknown tags are rejected.

    About this tool

Convert supported uncompressed TIFF images into actual PNG downloads.

    Supported input
    TIFF
    Output format
    PNG
    Batch size
Up to 5 files; format and combined limits below still apply.

    How it works

    1. Add Uncompressed TIFF files in Input. Review each thumbnail and its validation status.
    2. Check the input preview, choose output settings and create the result.
    3. Create the selected files. Compare original and result, then download an individual file or ZIP. Changing settings marks older results out of date.

    Supported files and limits

Up to 5 files, 10 MiB each and 25 MiB combined. Each image must fit within 8192 pixels per side and 20 million pixels; a batch is limited to 40 million input pixels. Output is limited to 20 MiB per file and 50 MiB combined. One isolated image job runs at a time, with a 30-second timeout and cancellation.

    A practical example

Convert a supported single-page uncompressed TIFF into a PNG for an application that does not accept TIFF. Check dimensions and any transparency after downloading.

    Troubleshooting this tool

Many scanner TIFFs use compression, multiple pages or profiles outside this tool's subset. Such files are rejected rather than silently returning only part of the document.

TIFF input supports one uncompressed classic TIFF page, top-left orientation, chunky unsigned 8-bit grayscale, RGB or RGB with unassociated alpha. BigTIFF, compressed/tiled/multipage files, palettes, CMYK, profiles, EXIF and unknown tags are rejected. Resolution metadata is not retained.

    Check the actual export

Only the input variants listed below are supported. Pixel dimensions are preserved; source resolution and descriptive metadata are not retained. Inspect downloaded dimensions, transparency and fine edges before replacing an original. Browser encoders differ; a quality setting is not a universal fidelity score, and file size may increase.

    Files stay in your browser

No file bytes are uploaded. Ordinary work stays in memory. Choosing a “Continue” action saves that result in this browser for up to 30 minutes, so another compatible working tool can use the actual output. Saved workflows are limited to 50 MiB and 20 files; clear them in Output. Expired entries are removed on later tool visits. Clearing references is not a secure-erasure promise.

    If a file fails

Check its actual format and the restrictions above. Renaming a file does not convert it. A failed file does not erase successful batch results. If processing times out, cancel and try fewer or smaller files. A current browser with worker canvas support is required.

    Before you use the download

    • Check the output dimensions and supported transparency in an image viewer.
    • Compare actual file size and fine detail with the original; changing containers does not recover previously lost information.

    Tools that accept this output

These links use this tool's default output format, subject to each next tool's supported variants and limits. If you change the export format, use Continue in Output to see compatible actions for the actual result. Opening a link below starts another tool without transferring a file.
