About this tool
Resize supported raster images into PNG files using one consistent workspace.
- Supported input
- PNG, JPG, WebP
- Output format
- PNG
- Batch size
- Up to 5 files; format and combined limits below still apply.
How it works
- Add PNG / JPG / static WebP files in Input. Review each thumbnail and its validation status.
- Select a thumbnail to edit that image’s dimensions. Lock its proportions or apply one width to the selected batch.
- Create the selected files. Compare original and result, then download an individual file or ZIP. Changing settings marks older results out of date.
Supported files and limits
Up to 5 files, 10 MiB each and 25 MiB combined. Each image must fit within 8192 pixels per side and 20 million pixels; a batch is limited to 40 million input pixels. Output is limited to 20 MiB per file and 50 MiB combined. One isolated image job runs at a time, with a 30-second timeout and cancellation.
A practical example
A batch containing PNG, JPG and WebP can be resized into PNG working files. Choose one active image first, then apply a shared width with proportions locked.
Troubleshooting this tool
This tool exports PNG even when the source is JPG or WebP. Matching widths does not make differently proportioned originals share the same height.
PNG input must be non-interlaced, 8-bit RGB or RGBA. Animated PNG, EXIF, ICC profiles and compressed/international text metadata are rejected before decoding.
JPG input supports 8-bit baseline/progressive RGB or grayscale. EXIF/ICC/multi-picture metadata and CMYK are currently rejected, so orientation and colour profiles are not silently discarded. Export an unprofiled copy from your image editor if needed.
WebP input must contain one static image. Animation, ICC profiles, EXIF, XMP and unsupported container chunks are rejected. Both lossy and lossless input bitstreams are decoded by the browser; this tool does not promise lossless WebP output.
Check the actual export
This general resizer exports PNG only. Use the dedicated JPG resizer when you need a JPG result. Inspect downloaded dimensions, transparency and fine edges before replacing an original. Browser encoders differ; a quality setting is not a universal fidelity score, and file size may increase.
Files stay in your browser
No file bytes are uploaded. Ordinary work stays in memory. Choosing a “Continue” action saves that result in this browser for up to 30 minutes, so another compatible working tool can use the actual output. Saved workflows are limited to 50 MiB and 20 files; clear them in Output. Expired entries are removed on later tool visits. Clearing references is not a secure-erasure promise.
If a file fails
Check its actual format and the restrictions above. Renaming a file does not convert it. A failed file does not erase successful batch results. If processing times out, cancel and try fewer or smaller files. A current browser with worker canvas support is required.
Before you use the download
- Open the download and verify its width and height against the settings you chose.
- Look for stretched proportions or softened detail, especially if you enlarged the source.
