PNG / JPG / static WebP · up to 5 files
10 MiB each · 25 MiB combined
20 MP each · 40 MP combined
8192 pixels per side

Supported variants

Static images only. PNG: non-interlaced 8-bit RGB/RGBA; no EXIF/ICC or compressed text. JPG: 8-bit RGB/grayscale; no EXIF/ICC or CMYK. WebP: no animation, ICC, EXIF or XMP. Renaming an extension does not change its format.

A clear view of every change

Add an image to inspect your original, adjust settings and create a real download.

    Output settings PNG output

Drag a new rectangle on the original or edit these original-pixel bounds. Each image keeps its own crop. Presets apply once; later edits are freeform.

    About this tool

Choose a crop visually or enter exact pixel bounds, compare a live draft and export the selected rectangle as PNG.

    Supported input
    PNG, JPG, WebP
    Output format
    PNG
    Batch size
Up to 5 files; format and combined limits below still apply.

    How it works

    1. Add PNG / JPG / static WebP files in Input. Review each thumbnail and its validation status.
    2. Drag a rectangle on the original image, choose a centred preset or enter Left, Top, Width and Height in original pixels. Each image keeps its own crop. Create PNG exports exact selected dimensions.
    3. Create the selected files. Compare original and result, then download an individual file or ZIP. Changing settings marks older results out of date.

    Supported files and limits

Up to 5 files, 10 MiB each and 25 MiB combined. Each image must fit within 8192 pixels per side and 20 million pixels; a batch is limited to 40 million input pixels. Output is limited to 20 MiB per file and 50 MiB combined. One isolated image job runs at a time, with a 30-second timeout and cancellation.

    A practical example

To trim a screenshot, drag the rectangle around the useful content or enter exact original-pixel bounds. Centre square, 4:3 and 16:9 presets are starting points; subsequent edits are freeform. Compare the draft, create the PNG and inspect its dimensions before sharing.

    Troubleshooting this tool

The rectangle must fit inside the active image. If it exceeds an edge, reduce its dimensions or move its origin inward. Reset to original restores that image’s full bounds. Drafts are reduced and are not downloadable exports; an invalid rectangle clears its draft and marks its prior output stale.

Does a crop preset lock the aspect ratio?

No. A preset centres a rectangle once. You can then drag a new freeform rectangle or change pixel bounds. Each input keeps its own crop. Small images use whole-pixel rounding.

PNG input must be non-interlaced, 8-bit RGB or RGBA. Animated PNG, EXIF, ICC profiles and compressed/international text metadata are rejected before decoding.

JPG input supports 8-bit baseline/progressive RGB or grayscale. EXIF/ICC/multi-picture metadata and CMYK are currently rejected, so orientation and colour profiles are not silently discarded. Export an unprofiled copy from your image editor if needed.

WebP input must contain one static image. Animation, ICC profiles, EXIF, XMP and unsupported container chunks are rejected. Both lossy and lossless input bitstreams are decoded by the browser; this tool does not promise lossless WebP output.

    Check the actual export

The crop must fit inside the original. Centre presets apply once, not as an aspect lock. Drafts are reduced to at most 768 pixels and may be approximate; downloads contain the exact original-pixel rectangle. No automatic subject detection or content reconstruction. Inspect downloaded dimensions, transparency and fine edges before replacing an original. Browser encoders differ; a quality setting is not a universal fidelity score, and file size may increase.

    Files stay in your browser

No file bytes are uploaded. Ordinary work stays in memory. Choosing a “Continue” action saves that result in this browser for up to 30 minutes, so another compatible working tool can use the actual output. Saved workflows are limited to 50 MiB and 20 files; clear them in Output. Expired entries are removed on later tool visits. Clearing references is not a secure-erasure promise.

    If a file fails

Check its actual format and the restrictions above. Renaming a file does not convert it. A failed file does not erase successful batch results. If processing times out, cancel and try fewer or smaller files. A current browser with worker canvas support is required.

    Before you use the download

    • Check that the downloaded crop contains the intended region and no unwanted border.
    • Compare the new dimensions with the destination requirement; cropping cannot restore material outside the selected rectangle.
