    About this tool

Split a simple PDF into equal-sized page groups and download the actual PDF parts in a ZIP.

    Supported input
    PDF
    Output format
    ZIP
    Batch size
Up to 5 files; format and combined limits below still apply.

    How it works

    1. Add Simple PDF 1.x files in Input. Review each thumbnail and its validation status.
    2. Choose the number of pages in each part. The final part can be shorter, and no more than five parts are created.
    3. Create the selected files. Compare original and result, then download an individual file or ZIP. Changing settings marks older results out of date.

    Supported files and limits

Up to 5 PDFs, 5 MiB each and 25 MiB combined, with at most 100 input pages combined and 1000 objects per document. This initial version requires simple, unencrypted PDF 1.x with classic cross-reference tables. Forms, annotations, bookmarks, tags, signatures, scripts, attachments and compressed object tables are rejected. This avoids silently discarding features the current tools cannot preserve. Page contents are copied without rasterizing; document-level metadata is reset.

Preview images are document summaries, not rendered pages. Download and inspect every output page. One worker runs at a time, with a 30-second deadline, cancellation and a 20 MiB per-output limit. Splitting produces no more than 5 PDF parts in a ZIP.

    A practical example

Split a six-page simple PDF into groups of two pages to create three separate PDF parts inside a ZIP. Open each part to check its boundaries.

    Troubleshooting this tool

The split is limited to five parts. If a page-per-part split would exceed that count, choose a larger group or use page extraction for the needed range.

Why is the split offered as a ZIP?

Splitting creates separate PDF parts. The ZIP packages those parts into one download; extract it and open each PDF to verify the group boundaries. No more than five parts are produced.

    Check the actual export

Creates up to five PDF parts per source. Each part preserves its original page order and content; filenames inside the ZIP identify the part number. Open the download and check every page or cell, its order and content before relying on it. These tools are not a PDF sanitizer or a secure-redaction system.

    Files stay in your browser

No file bytes are uploaded. Ordinary work stays in memory. Choosing a “Continue” action saves that result in this browser for up to 30 minutes, so another compatible working tool can use the actual output. Saved workflows are limited to 50 MiB and 20 files; clear them in Output. Expired entries are removed on later tool visits. Clearing references is not a secure-erasure promise.

    If a file fails

Check its actual format and the restrictions above. Renaming a file does not convert it. A failed file does not erase successful batch results. If processing times out, cancel and try fewer or smaller files. A current browser with worker canvas support is required.

    Before you use the download

    • Open the output PDF files and verify every page and the requested page order or selection.
    • Keep the source PDFs separately; a page operation is not secure redaction or preservation of unsupported signatures or forms.
