UTF-8 CSV · up to 5 files
1 MiB each · 5 MiB combined
UTF-8 only · no binary documents
Supported variants
UTF-8 plain text only. PDF text export supports Latin/Windows-1252 characters; CSV export accepts Unicode text in bounded rectangular tables.
Choose UTF-8 text, not DOCX, XLSX or PDF. Unsupported encoding, binary control bytes and limit violations are rejected.

A clear view of every change
Add a UTF-8 document, choose settings and create a real download. Previews show summaries rather than rendered content.
Your result will appear here.
Previews are scaled to at most 1024 pixels. Download the full-resolution file to inspect fine detail.
Choose supported documents to begin. No files are uploaded.

Your exported files and their real details will appear here.
20 MiB per output · 50 MiB combined. Exports can be larger than the source.

Only “Continue” saves a result in this browser for up to 30 minutes. Nothing is sent to our server.
About this tool
Convert a bounded UTF-8 delimited table into a real one-sheet Excel workbook.
- Supported input
- CSV
- Output format
- XLSX
- Batch size
- Up to 5 files; format and combined limits below still apply.
How it works
- Add UTF-8 CSV files in Input. Review each thumbnail and its validation status.
- Select comma, semicolon or tab, then create the spreadsheet.
- Create the selected files. Compare original and result, then download an individual file or ZIP. Changing settings marks older results out of date.
Supported files and limits
Up to five UTF-8 files, 1 MiB each. Binary formats, invalid encoding and unsupported control characters are rejected. Text-to-PDF is limited to 50,000 characters and 100 output pages per input. CSV-to-XLSX accepts 500,000 characters, at most 1,000 rows, 100 columns and 10,000 cells, with 32,767 characters per cell. Every row must contain the same number of fields. Quoted delimiters and multiline fields are supported. Line endings normalize to LF.
One cancellable worker runs at a time, with a 30-second deadline and 20 MiB output cap. Document previews are summaries, not rendered pages or spreadsheets.
A practical example
A CSV identifier such as 0012 stays the literal text 0012 in the XLSX. A cell beginning with = is also written as text, rather than activated as a spreadsheet formula. The output contains one worksheet and does not infer dates or numbers.
Troubleshooting this tool
Choose the delimiter used by the source file, such as a semicolon. Every row must have the same field count; quote a field that contains a delimiter or newline. XLSX export does not recreate formatting that a plain CSV never contained.
Will spreadsheet formulas or dates be inferred?
No. Every cell is written as literal text. This preserves values such as leading-zero identifiers and prevents a formula-like string from being activated as a workbook formula.
Check the actual export
Values are literal text, preserving leading zeros and formula-like strings. No formulas, macros, links, number/date inference or formatting are created. This avoids executing spreadsheet expressions from untrusted CSV. Open the download and check every page or cell, its order and content before relying on it. These tools are not a PDF sanitizer or a secure-redaction system.
Files stay in your browser
No file bytes are uploaded. Ordinary work stays in memory. Choosing a “Continue” action saves that result in this browser for up to 30 minutes, so another compatible working tool can use the actual output. Saved workflows are limited to 50 MiB and 20 files; clear them in Output. Expired entries are removed on later tool visits. Clearing references is not a secure-erasure promise.
If a file fails
Check its actual format and the restrictions above. Renaming a file does not convert it. A failed file does not erase successful batch results. If processing times out, cancel and try fewer or smaller files. A current browser with worker canvas support is required.
Before you use the download
- Open the workbook and compare its row and column counts with the CSV.
- Check leading zeros, quoted line breaks and formula-like cells; this tool writes literal text cells without inferring numbers or dates.
